Advice & Consultation

• We provide advice and information to local residents and authorities as well as government agencies when consulted about the cranes and their habitats.
• We are represented in the consultation process involving new development projects that may affect the cranes directly or indirectly through loss of habitats.
• We are also represented in the consultation process for adjusting strategies for conservation of the cranes and their habitats by Ministry of the Environment (Japan).

Outreach
An example of our outreach campaign is the preparation and distribution of flyers to appeal to drivers to watch out for cranes on the road. The flyer was distributed at rental car companies at the Kushiro airport, hotels and service areas.
