International ecological camp

University students and mentors spend ten days in Kushiro in winter and discuss the ecology of the cranes and wetlands as well as methods in field ecology.

Fieldwork
"During the crane census, I liked hiking up the mountain in Tsurui. Deep snow, pleasant tiredness, snowshoes, beautiful view with cranes and lunch on top of the mountain are unforgettable experiences!!!"

Master class
Students attended the master class on census methodology.


Lectures
Mentors from China, Japan, Russia, and South Korea gave lectures on their specialty areas.

Presentations by students
